How to run the backup Task with ease


Resolution

Use the attached AIP_backup.exe.


Tool USAGE:

AIP_backup.exe <ProfileName> <Wait time>

If the parameter is not specified, error will be output in the application eventlog.

ProfileName
    Check the profileName.
    Run the "aipcontrol.exe profiles" in command prompt.

Wait time
    Unit is Seconds.
    Null is 30 Seconds.
    0 is infinite wait time.

e.g.
    C:\AIP_backup jobINC
    *Wait time is 30 Seconds.

    C:\AIP_backup jobINC 10
    *Wait time is 10 Seconds.

    C:\AIP_backup jobINC 0
    *Wait time is infinite.


Practical case:
AIP3.5 could not Shutdown Backup on Windows Server 2012 or later and Windows 8 or later.
However, use of AIP_backup.exe and Shutdown script be able to shutdown backup.


Steps
1) Add the "MMC -- Add or Remove Snap-ins -- Group Policy Object Editor".
2) Open the "ComputerConfiguration -- Administrative Template -- System -- Scripts".
3) Change the following two settings.
   
- Maximum wait time for Group Policy scripts
    Enabled
    Options: Seconds: 0
     
- Run shutdown scripts visible
    Enabled

4) Add the script in "ComputerConfiguration -- Windows Settings -- Scripts -- Shutdown".


5) Run the cmd.exe and then run gpupdate.
